Vladimir Schnittke

FWS Partner

1939-2022
Most people know Vladimir as fearless advocate of those who suffered from repressions in the Soviet Union. The "charity-pharmacy", that he founded in Saint Petersburg, was legendary. For years, he undertook concert tours through Germany to collect funds for those who suffered from repressions. He always put an emphasis on the social dimension of human rights. But this was not all: He had a deep interest into economics and natural science. Endlessly we could talk about polymeres and comets. Did you know that he was a pecialist for the Tunguski meteorit? That he saw Fidel Castro, when he was on an expedition in Murmansk? His family history is still a treasure that has to be secured. Vladimir was FWS partner from the beginning. He helped us with his wise recommendations. We miss him very much. Frank Fabel

Edin Tahirovic

Markart d.o.o., Sarajevo, FWS audit partner

1961-2015
I met Edin first in the aftermaths of the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina in 1999. I was surprised by his courage and prudent fearlessness in all his professional behaviour. He was able to talk straight forward with "criminal authorities". He was a very careful accountant, but accounting was not all: A brilliant musician, with a good sense of humour. I learned from him that there is something common between music and accounting, and this common denominator is: harmony. Together we realized audits in difficult circumstances - for instance in Kosovo, while the war was still raging. His longing for peace was very visible. May his soul rest in peace! Frank Fabel
